The Middle East is an area where cars and truck is king and fuel is low-cost, frequently leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly methods of moving around.

But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have risen the cost of oil, the problem of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.

In an area that has one of the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one business is benefiting from the growing pressure to discover options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing lucrative too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
